We are honored to announce that Amitié Wines will be representing Le Grappin, an artisan vinificateur out of Savigny-lés-Beaune in the Cote d’Or. Andrew Nielsen, of Le Grappin has lovingly created two exceptional wines that are the product of tireless work in the vineyards and incredible efforts during vendages. Andrew’s philosophy of using a combination of reverence to 2000 years of local traditions combined with the expertise of modern techniques has created an exceptional Savigny-lés-Beaune rouge and blanc.

You can read much more about the organic farming regime, hand sorting and gentle vinification practices at the links below.

We also tasted through his 2012’s that had not yet gone through malo and have to say that despite the struggles of the 2012 growing season and harvest, there is a purity in some of his 2012 introductions that is exciting and we indeed are looking forward to retuning to Savigny to taste through them next fall.

Please see the article Bill Nanson of the Burgundy Report has written about Le Grappin.
