The vines grow on an upper area of Corton hill in a thin layer of limestone rich soil. “Les Renardes”, translated ‘The Vixens’ or ‘The Foxes’ is located between other famous Corton climats “Le Clos du Roi” and “Le Rognet” and above “Les Bressandes.”
